Commander 2014

Commander 2014, officially styled as Commander (2014 Edition), is a product in the Commander series that was released by Wizards of the Coast on November 7, 2014. It was announced at the Magic panel at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 26, 2014.

Commander 2014 features five monocolored 100-card decks (337 different cards). There are 61 new cards legal in Vintage and Legacy. Each of the five decks has 15 new cards. The set introduced five new planeswalkers that can be used as a commander, and featured legendary creatures from Magic's past which didn't have a card before (Gisa, Geralf, Feldon, Jazal and Titania). It also introduced the lieutenant ability word and double-faced tokens. The five planeswalkers were created bottom-up (abilities first), while the five historical legendaries were created top-down (character first). Several older cards featured new art.
