Merfolk is fronted by Master of Waves and the Goblins deck features Warren Instigator. The two premium cards, along with Aquitect's Will, Tidal Courier, Gempalm Incinerator, Goblin Goon and Relentless Assault feature new artwork.

The Duel Decks include a Magic “learn to play” guide, a strategy insert, and a deck box, a spindown life counter and 5 tokens each. Each deck contains 10 rares.
